We partnered with Sun™ Microsystems to make it happen. They provided the base platform. On top of that we added our virus removal, spam tagging technology, a Web 2.0 email client, and our custom provisioning system. We ended up with a messaging platform that is scalable, future proof, and most importantly has feature parity with MS Exchange. It runs on top of 5 sun enterprise class servers and uses the IRONKEEP™ storage platform for the email store. Basically it screams.
